upgrade from stock to jbl or get aftermarket speakers

was looking into buying a set of factory jbl speakers do i need to make any special mods to make them work or am i fine with the wireing i have now and running off an aftermarket HU or am i better off buying a set of aftermarket pioneers or infinities

i installed the factory jbl door speakers in my 97 x using a stock hu from an 02 sport .they work fine for me
