Upgraded Head unit Question

Which of these is best?
I'm looking for any opinions on these units
And if one brand is crappy or anything like that

They're all junk. Once you get in the $300 range you can get a half decent brand....Kenwood, Pioneer etc

i understand that but i dont have the money for the $800 dollar one i want and do you have anything to support your opinion
not trying to not listen i just want ideas of why these are junk compared to more well known names as kenwood and pioneer

Well....Let me see....The displays are horrible compared to a better brand. It's the kind of thing that you wouldn't notice as easy as if you had one of those side by side and could directly compare them. Did you ever stand in Best buy and look at a sweet LED flat panel and compare it to the pos Insignia next to it? that's kind of the idea.


The cheap screens also have a very short life. Of course you could be one of the lucky ones and it might last but by far of the majority of those barely make it past the warranty.


Compared to a better brand the DAC's are horrible by comparison. This once again is like the video quality. The detail is sad at best. If you could do a direct comparison of these to a better brand you would be shocked just how bad they would sound. Absolutely the cheapest parts available.


The voltage ratings are not even close to reality. Even if they rate one of them at 2 volts in reality they are a whole lot less. This is going to force you to crank gains higher and be a lot more likely to introduce noise.



I would much rather see you get a Sony over any of those.

i soldered in my girlfriends HU for Christmas she likes it and all the connections were correct if i buy the one for for x do i tell them i have the mach system since i have the sub woofer and what do i say so i can retain my factory steering controls

Does anyone know how well the dvd-r and other playbacks work

Before you buy anything call them and make sure it"s in stock. That's the downfall of that site. They'll take your money and then send you an email telling you it's out of stock and will ship when they get it. Besides that I have purchased a few things there and always got what I expected.
