upper control arm tips?

I'm browsing at RockAuto for new RH upper arms and there appears to be two MOOG "Control Arm w/ Ball Joint" kit:

- Part# K8710T "Frt Susp; Upper; RH; 4WD; Enhanced Design; 2 piece Design; Includes Bushings; 1 Required" ($93.79)
- Part# K80068 "Frt Susp; Upper; RH; 4WD; 1 Piece Design; Includes Bearings; 1 Required" ($108.79)

Which one is the "correct" one ?!?!?

Look at your right side upper control arm. You'll see that it is two pieces.

When I buy parts like this, I find a place that has them in stock so that I can see the part.

Just some advice.

Good luck,
Matt

For those who have ordered MOOG K8710T

I ordered and recieved the Moog K8710T. However, I thought the kit would come with two parts since the right-hand upper control arm is after all comprised of two major pieces. However, when I opened the box, the kit only came with one part (and some smaller parts like nuts, bolts, etc..). This part that it came with is the outer piece that has the ball joint. The larger inner "U" looking part that attaches to the chasis (and the cam bolts) is not included. Is this correct or is the kit supposed to come with both major pieces?

The picture below shows a 2nd gen's right hand control arm setup (picture is not of my X). The red arrow points to the part which I recieved. The white arrow points to the part that I *thought* I would get as a part of the kit.

BTW i forgot to mention why I am changing the upper right control arm. A few weeks ago I drove to a local ski slope to ride my bike down it. But on the way, I ran over something big (with my front left tire) and it bent the arm so that i have way too much negative camber. I have installed adjuster cam bolts but that only gets you so many degrees and I obviously need more. Plus a bent suspension part should really be replaced.

Wow, I'm such a dork, I didn't even realize that.

Guess I'll add now, The tops are cake. I had to take some fuel/electrical/brake lines off their clips to give a little movement to the cam bolts when taking them out, but like alec said, nuts and bolts.

I tried to replace the LH upper control arm/ball joint on my '98 XLT this afternoon, and got stuck on the adjuster cam bolt (to the right of shock absorber). It is blocked by two fuel lines. Being mechanically challenged :( , I hesitate to tinker with the lines, particularly the fuel lines.

Could you elaborate on how you did it? Thanks much!

Removing the LH camber was the hardest part of the operation for me. I had my brother from above prying and me from the well prying the lines to get them out of the plastic mount with a screw driver. The other thing to be aware of is that the camber bolt once unbolted will swing in a direction that helps it avoid the lines. The camber is not the same dimension around the head of the bolt.
