Hello everyone, Ford stated that my engine mounts were bad, so I'm looking to replace them. They stated that I required an upper transmission mount and an upper engine mount (passenger side, beneath the coolant reservoir).

Thus, I had no trouble changing the transmission mount. Although the two bolts beneath the mount are a pain in the ass, the airbox and battery only needed to be removed.

My problem is with the upper mount of the passenger. Although it's actually easier to reach than the transmission mount, I only found videos and links that demonstrated how to replace that mount, bazzo chat and they were all for the naturally aspirated version. There is no documentation for changing an ecoboost engine that I can find. The last bolt is located directly beneath two coolant lines entering the engine, but the other six bolts are reachable. This eliminates the possibility of using a tool to remove that bolt, more and I am unable to locate any documentation indicating whether a method exists.

All I can think of is that in order to reach that bolt, you need to disconnect those lines and drain the coolant, which I am not capable of doing. Is there another method to remove that dreadful thing without removing the coolant?

There is unfortunately no way to do this for the ecoboost engine without draining the coolant. Those 2 lines are in the way and there is no way to get enough clearance without disconnecting them. Draining the coolant is not super difficult though so you may want to look into that option.

I am exploring other options! :(
