Sure, but it will give higher compression than the stock heads, and you might need to use the exhaust manifolds from the 96 as well.
It's a fairly well known mod to use the 95TM or 98TM (1995+ 4.0L OHV) heads on the older 1991-1994 4.0L OHV blocks that used the 90TM and 93TM heads to get higher compression, but it usually requires the use of higher octane gas, too.
