My sons car refused to start yesterday so it's dumped outside my neighbours at the moment and his wife is overdue with their first child. A friend with a diagnostic machine says it's showing 'ignition tamper' but he couldn't reset it. Engine cranks but won't fire, I presume the immobiliser is preventing the fuel pump/injectors from working. What can I do to get the car started? Need help pretty urgently in case the baby decides to arrive soon.
