Hello all-

Well, here is the deal. Today i changed both calipers on my 98 spot( these ARE ABS). i blead them, topper off fluid, and i still have no brakes! It says in my manual that if air gets into the master cylender you will need to take it to the dealer and have them blead, but it also says the break light will go on and there is no light! i am stumped! there are no leaks that i can see! PLEASE HELP SO I CAN GO TO WORK MONDAY!

thank you all,

austin

How did you bleed them??? remember that air will always travel to the furthest point, being the right rear...Pump,pump,and keep pumping till you get a hard peddle before losening the bleeder..

Hummm.. well, what i did was open the bleader and pump pump pump! seems wrong now that i think about it. So what i should do is have some one pump pump pump till i get a hard on :-) then open that bad boy when they are still pumping yes?

AND THANK YOU FOR THAT AMAZING RESPONCE TIME!

NEVER open the bleeder while it is being pumped, this will draw air into the system..Have someone pump it up, hold the peddle to the floor, and losen the bleeder, do not release the peddle until the bleeder is tight again...You will have to go thru this process several times...Make sure you keep it full of fluid and that the cap is tight at all times...
