V-6 Eco-boost?

Went to the dealer on Friday all set to place an order for a loaded '11 Explorer. While waiting for the sales man to finish up with another customer the sales manager sees me looking at the SHO in the showroom. Mgr: "Nice car huh?", Me: "Yeah, I'd wish that they'd put this motor in the new Explorer." Mgr: "It should be out the middle of this year." Me:"Oh really?"

So we left. My question to you folks is this true? I know about the Eco-boost 4 coming to the Explorer, but we already have a a fuel efficient Golf Tdi and don't really care that much about the environment. The wife will be trading in her MDX soccer-mom mobile and something with a little more pep then the N/A 6 would appeal to dad. So was the sales manager talking out his butt or what? Should we wait?

That sales manager is an idiot, like most I've come across, he has no clue as to what he's talking about. As of now, Ford has no plans for a V6 ecoboost in the Explorer, just the ecoboost 4.
