Hi,
Some of you all suggested that the noise was from the power steering pump. I checked the pump by turning the steering at idle and heard no whine noise.
The dealer said that the noise is coming from the transmission and it is normal. You can hear from stop up to 20 mph and it quiets. If you press the gas at those speeds and let go, the noise stop.
The Jeep forum has the similar noise and they had it fixed using the TCM flash. Does Explorer can be flashed for the transmission if there are a fix for this noise?
Are there any suggestions? I have a couple of months of warranty left. The vehicle has 13600 miles on it.
