I've done searches and non exactly match what I am having.
When the vehicle is corneringing (anytime the wheels are not straight ahead, and even after steering wheel is positioned in a stable turn) I get a whine in the front end.
It sounds like a pump noise (sort of), but isn't because it does NOT do it when turning the wheel standing still, when the force required would be the greatest, only while rolling at petty much any speed, from barely moving while parking, to higher speeds in traffic, it is most likely not. (All bad pumps I've had make the noise proportionally to the force exerted by them, and tis noise keep s doing it even w/ hands OFF the steering wheel when in an established turn, when the pump is loafing.)
It's not a wheel bearing type sound (or symptom).
It is perfectly quiet at all speeds and loads while driving straight ahead, so I tend to discount a ring/pinion noise.
I know all AWD system "load-up" the driveline when turning since they have to apply driving force to all wheels, and when turning the wheels all turn at different speeds (relieved by the viscous coupling that distributes torque).
I've moved to where I do a lot more maneuvering in parking lots and small streets, and the noise (which I've had since I bought the vehicle several months ago) and if nothing else it's annoying.
I've never been a big fan of continuous AWD, and this isn't making me love it any more.
