V8 Swap Help

'94 4.0 Auto 4x4 want to make it 5.0 Man 4x4

Obviously i'd have serious problems going OBD-II with this setup so scratch that off the list.

Would like to stay OBD-I if possible (no emission laws here on 95 and older vehicles so i don't have to worry about that)

BUT will settle for a Carb (gives me reason to get a cowl hood)

So i would like a Manual Shift T-case and perferrably a 5 speed trans any ideas on the easiest setup i could go with?

For a OBD-I 5.0L, w/ a 5spd.....the smart choice is a motor from a Mustang, and the transmission/transfer case from an F-150.

Easy enough to get my hands on, what computer would i want to run though? Guessing i'd need custom driveshafts right?

Being that the Transmission, and transfer case will be manual, there will be no need to control them, nor any need for the computer to know that you even have said equipment. Therefor I would look at a A9L Computer.

Alright did some thinking and talking to my friends a V8 swap WOULD be nice but too much of a hassle so i'm just going to build the 4.0 for now maybe down the road i'll swap a V8
But
The big reason is my trans is slipping more and more and i need to fix/get a new one before winter and i might be able to score a 5 speed from a 93 EB for free
