I've got a 1992 and I believe the vacuum tree, its more on the drivers side towards the part of the engine nearest the windshield with all the hoses sticking out of it, is making a loud hissing noise. There are 6 hoses connected to this tree and then the one open port. Is there just supposed to be a plug that goes there or another hose?

I believe your referring to a missing cap? Which will cause the hissing noise and may cause the engine to run rough! Just replace it.

had a problem with this myself. I did an emergency repair (still the same after 1 year :p ) by placing a threaded bolt into a piece of vacuum hose and slipping it over the open vacuum port to block it. I'm sure someone sells the little caps to block it the correct way but I don't know who.:)

Yeah you are missing one of the little caps that are available at an auto parts store....there are different sizes though, make sure you get the tightest one....
