Hey guys,

Installed a V1 in my Ex and it seems that it throws a single dot of k out contently. Never stops. I have most options, blind spot, crash detection, smart cruise. Dont have Lane departure, Auto high beams.

Even if I turn all these features off in the dashboard, it still does it.

Anyone know what is doing this and is there any possible fix. The wife has just truned down the V1 all the way. Now its a $400 blinky toy in the window...

I have a V1 as well, but have not used it in my new Sport. I will check it to see if I'm having similar results with mine.

Once it powers up shut it off and turn it on again. What filter settings are you using? A,L or the little L?

I using L. Are you saying to do that every time I get in the car? My wife will hate that. LOL

Mine only does that occasionally.

Tried the off/on thing. Worked for about 30 seconds then back to the samething.

I have an escort, but never had an issue with the explorer causing an alert. Newer Mercedes give off a strong k band alert, drives me insane when I am near one.

Maybe V1 needs to be informed of this problem.

I have a V1, and it is currently in our '12 Ex. No problems with an intermittent signal of K. I had it through all filter levels, A, l, L. Sounds like you tried swapping with a different vehicle to isolate the problem to your Ex?

I will say that Valentine's customer service is excellent. I had a power issue with my unit and sent it in for warranty (with service check included). They fixed my unit and returned it to me, free of charge!

It camout out of our X5 with no probs. it's actually 12 years old. They will prob tell me to get a new one. But I'll call them.

the beauty with V1's is that they do ROM flashes for you for updates. My wife had a similar problem when we had it in her 12 Odyssey Touring Elite. Every once in a while it would BLAIR out a K squak and then stop. It eventually stopped after a while and we never figured out why it did that. We were wondering if it was the BLIS system. I've yet to install the V1 into her Explorer, hers is fully loaded with lane departure etc so i'm curious how it will react with all that.
