I have a question about the transmission on my crossover. The problem is I put it in drive and it works but when I put it into reverse it doesn't work. Could it be the valve body?

Where would you find a value body repair kit at?

I bought mine from Central valve bodies. Great service, easy repair & it fixed my problem.

Alright, I have ordered a valve body and I am now taking it apart. Does anyone here have a picture of a 97 5R55E setup of the valve body? I realized I was half way into and realized that I needed to take a picture of all of it. Lol. It was a mess everywhere! Of all the places I found the value body, a esty page had it. Go figure? The place Central value body place x, did not have them in stock.

unless someone knows the page in the chliton diy book...

Before you start buying parts you don’t need, pull the reverse servo and check the band. Many times, the tab on the band breaks off, so the servo can’t apply the band. If that’s the case, you need a rebuild—all the VB work in the world won’t help you.

I bought a valve body already. I don't have idea where I can pull up the valve body layout let alone know where the reserve servo is at.

Ok I changed the valve body with all the new parts that came with it, and put fluid in it and now it's giving me a flasing overdrive light. What does this mean?

There’s a transmission code stored.

If there was no light before you probably didn’t get something quite right. Get the code read and it’ll tell you what needs redone.
