So similar problem that many people have had on here. Waterpump went bad, overheated, cracked the 90TM heads. When I was pulling the heads I managed to break the PLASTIC pushrod guide collar on two of the lifters. I'm wondering what is worse to do. Put the lifter back in with out the collar on it and risk the pushrod slipping out or sink two new lifters in.
I would change the camshaft and put in all new lifters in a heartbeat, but I live in an apartment and don't want to mess with pulling the block in the parking lot. I am suprised I haven't been yelled at yet for taking the top half off. Any suggetions are appreciated. Can I just buy the plastic piece? Thanks
