Vehicle Lunges Just before Stop

I noticed today that after I stopped, I put my left foot on the brake pedal and held the pedal down. I then put my right foot on the brake pedal and slid my foot to the right and noticed that the brake pedal was lower then the gas pedal ? Is this normal ? or does it indicate that my brakes need looking at ?
My brakes seem to work very well and stop just fine, should the pedal be higher ? Sorry about the long explanation :)

I'm no expert with this forum, but I've watched and researched on this one (and others) for quite some time and I can tell you that you'll have a lot better chance of finding an answer to your question if you (1) search all threads for your issue and, if you don't find an answer, (2) post in or create a thread that is applicable to your issue.

This thread is about an electronic control issue with the 6-speed trannys in the explorers/mountaineers, not pedals as indicators of worn brake pads.

Again, please first search for answers to your question by using the search button at the top of the forums. You could try keywords like "pedal position," "brake pedal," etc. If you don't find your answer, then consider posting a new thread or on a thread that pertains to your issue.
