Hi, first of all my truck its a 96 Explorer 4 door , V6 OHV with the 4r55e and Control Trac 4 Wheel drive system with the rotating knob.
i have read recently both threads about vss driven gear:

My case its a bit different because i dont want to correct my speedometer, but because i could not find the VSS gear at any place.
Long short story, trans leaked from front main seal, got fixed, but at the process with the VSS removed, it got damaged, i simply replaced it with a new one, but gears got chewed when installing the safety pin.
Went to the junkyard, pull a complete used VSS with gear, removed gear, installed with my new sensor and nothing happened, obviously getting P0500 code and O/D flashing (because the tranny doesnt know at what speed it is)
At this point i noticed the original-worn gear from my truck its a left hand 20 tooth gear (attaching a picture of it) and the "new" gear its a 19 tooth gear, but right hand. I simply could not find at any place, even from ford, a left hand 20 gear. Any other ones simply doesnt work.
If i install my worn gear it works sometimes (with the jumping speedometer, sometimes not working at all while cruising) , but its damaged and needs replacing.
Where in this world i can get a 20 tooth left hand gear, even a 21 or 19 tooth ? i simply cant find anything and the truck its in limp mode. And its even harder because i live in mexico.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
