Verifying timing chain isssues

I bought my 00 knowing it had the rattle because I listened to it but it was a good price for it and figured I would fix the issue. From my reading my understanding is the only thing needed done to these 4.0 SOHC motors are that they need the tensioner and guide needs replaced, is this true? And is it only the front side that gets done or does the rear need done also? Not use to this setup of motor. If this doesn't involve messing with the timing its self that'll be great. So y'all's experience is appreciated. Thanks!
