Truck out of the blue started creaking in the front end drivers side. its super annoying. not i have also developed a squeek or creak in the mid to rear of it. its a 2007 with 118K on it. It sounds TERRIBLE and I am actually embarased on recent trip to the camp with the boys. it is all they talked about every time we stopped. what is it and how do i get rid of it. was going to get it undercoated, would that help?

If it was happening to my ST, I would locate the noises and focus on fixing or lubing them. There is a slight chance that there may be something causing the noises that needs attention.

could be a bad balljoint:(

No, its more suspension creaks and groans. its not mechanical.....when i get out of the car and push down on the front it creaks, groans and moans. and something in the rear too. does it need a chassy lube or something?

Might be the coil springs or the struts. I had a sports car with squeaky struts. All it took was some silicone lube on the urethane bushings to quiet them down.

Common for wearing, and easy to check the front and rear sway bar frame bushings.
Silicone spray works great for detecting suspension noises, anything made of rubber.

Its funny, the guy i called at the shop today said it could be the ball joint in the drivers front. we will see tomorrow.

if it doesnt sound like something mechanically failing and more just an annoying sound, i would guess its a few spots: your leaf springs in the back. try pushing up and down on the rear bumper, if the squeaking happens, try spraying the leaf springs with some wd40. spray in between the leaves and soak them up real good. then try to replicate the squeak. this should get rid of it. then move to the front. check for play in your swaybar bushings. if they arent tight and snug, you probably need new bushings, an inexpensive fix that will take a saturday morning or less to take care of. check your ball joints for rips or tears, if they looked bent out of shape or are ripped, then you need to replace them. this is a little more difficult but there are how to's on the forum on this. good luck!

Leaf springs?

I don't know if this applies to your situation but I did the same thing to my ST that I did to a Ranger that I owned. I punched (drilled) a small hole in every dust cover that I have that protects any joint and pumped it full of grease with a grease gun with a pointed nozzle. The hole is not open when I finished due to the elasticity of the rubber. If the ball joint is worn out then that's a different issue.

oh snap! my bad, i forget you guys got the irs. same should apply with the wishbone setup though. i get major squeaks in my rear leaf srpings and i can cure it with a little wd.
