Ok here is my problem
. Every once in a while there is a very bad noise that sounds like it is coming from the transfer case. It sounds alot like grinding gears in a manual transmission or transfercase. This happens only when the vehicle is in 4x4 auto and no lights flash on the dash. It seems to be most common when descelerating. I can quickly make it go away by putting the vehicle into neutral then back into drive. Any help in diagnosing this problem would be greatly appreciated!
