Very Loose Steering.

Ok, just finally got the ex back on the road and noticed the steering has way too much play. The rack is brand new, and the intermediate shaft is fairly new also. With the vehicle off the wheel has about 1/2 inch of play either way. Same thing when its running. When i grab the shaft and pull it there seems to be some play coming from the upper. Could the intermediate shaft be bad already? Or could i have a problem with the upper shaft? If its the upper how hard is that to replace?

Well ive pretty much narrowed it down to the upper shaft. When i wrecked the front end it must have taken a hard impact. Anyone ever replaced this?? How hard is it?

I removed most of the upper shaft to install my hydro steering valve. The shaft isnt too difficult, it just takes patience and you'll probably be upside down half the time.

That should be fun lol, my big self upside down underneath a dash..I always hated doing under dash work with my size. Thanks for the info Izwack....
