VERY squeeky door!

ok well im not sure if this is the right section...but if not im sure a mod will move it for me.

ive got a 93 eddie baur 4 door and for about...ah...2 months ive had a slight squeek when i open or close my drivers side door. and just recently its become really loud and quite annoying/embarrassing...
ive tried your regular ol' WD40 and that just seemed to make it worse, then i tried automotive oil, then i tried wheel bearing grease...nothing seems to work for more then a day.
i know this sounds silly but im sick of it.
if anyone knows something to do or use please speak up!

Silly question, but have you been able to isolate the noise to a certain hinge? The box-style hinge most often makes noise on my ST. I use a waterproof polyurethane lubricant (the same stuff you use on bushings) so prevent the WD40 wash-off and white lithium wear-off.

Well think I've got the source pinpointed at the lower hinge, near the little plastic rolling piece. It seems only to squeek when there is pressure on it. And I just de-greased the whole door jam and I'll see what happens.

I use silicone spray on my hinges and it takes the squeaks out spray on open and close like 10 times and your set.

well the de-greaser worked for about 2 days. the hinges were dry and it didnt creek/squeak/ or groan at me. then this afternoon it started making a groan...great...ill try some silicone spray.
