I have a 2015 Explorer, recently had motor mounts replaced as all 3 were reported broken by dealer. Since car was returned, car had been running loud and rougher than normal. During initial acceleration from stop, car sounds and feels like I have some high performance V8 with modified exhaust, not the normal stock V6. Once I get past 5-10 mph, thing get near normal. I have the car back into dealer to be looked at, but wondering if anyone has had a similar experience.

Welcome to the Forum Rob.
I can only guess that something either broke or disconnected when they moved the engine around. Since you took it back to get checked out, please keep us in the loop. Thanks.

Do you have an update on this? I am having the same problem after mine was replaced

The problem ended being that one of the motor mounts installed by the dealer was not an OEM part but aftermarket. Once the aftermarket was replaced again with OEM, the issues went away and car has been running normal.

I'm very curious as to why the dealer would use an aftermarket part on your vehicle. Ford parts carry a warranty.

At the time the parts were originally replaced, the vehicle was out of warranty and the OEM part was on back order for a few weeks, so they offered the option of aftermarket. When it was determined the aftermarket part was crap, they re-installed the old mount, and ran with that until the OEM part was available.
