I noticed it today after work when I was parking in my driveway. When the wheel is turned all the way or almost all the way there's a vibration in the steering wheel. I thought it might be an axle shaft, but when they're bad aren't they torn/leaking? I looked under my truck and everything looks fine so I don't know what it could be.

Check your power steering fluid condition and level, my 94 does that when its low.

Never thought about that. I'll go check that now.

Okay well it's a little bit under min, so I'll get some more and see how it does.

How many miles? Any noises? When you hit bumps or just turning? 4 wd, right? Axle shafts usually click.

not all half shafts or cv chafts need to have a damaged boot inorder to have a damaged joint..

my boots a fine but my joints are really bad..turning my steering wheel sharp makes my worry if they will bind up or break

120k miles. When turning the wheel all the way sometimes there's a growling noise? Maybe that wasn't the best word to use lol... Yeah it's 4wd.

I just got done replacing my hub assemblies for the same reason (growling noiose, bearings were bad). It was hard to tell when I jacked it up - they don't grind the same way when you take the load off of them.
