I know several people on here are going to immediately say that this is an issue with the Wheel Bearing/Hub but before you jump to that conclusion please read further.

About 2000 miles ago I replaced both of the wheel hubs on my '01 XLT. I torqued the spindle nut down to the reccomended 125 ft/lbs of torque. Everything was going just fine and I had no problems. After a few weeks there was a slight vibration starting to resonate from the passenger side front wheel well. The vibration sound has steadily grown and on top of this when I take a right turn at speed the sound will stop briefly. I understand these are classic wheel bearing symptoms but I just replaced the wheel bearing with a brand new unit. I have put the truck on a jack and checked to see if there was any play in the wheel and it was solid as a rock. I have even gone as far as to remove the brake caliper and rotor to visually inspect the hub itself for any signs of failure or discoloration and saw neither. Finally I just spun the bearing itself and felt no resistance or any sort of uneven pressure needed to move it through a few rotations.

Essentially I am not wanting to have to buy another wheel bearing at $150 at my local parts dealer only to find that it did not solve the issue. I am hoping against hope that this is not a wheel bearing failure as this one is almost brand new. I was wondering if anyone on this forum can figure out what else may be causing this vibration noise. Any suggestions would be appreciated

Thanks!

PS. I did also check the tie rod ends to make they were seating properly and did not have any play.
