I have an 06 v8 2 wheel drive explorer. 110k miles. I have a vibration/deep humming when on the highway and I am off the gas and just coasting. I do not hear or feel the issue unless I am going 65ish or more and again even at light throttle the truck feels perfect. i would say the sensation is more volume than even a feeling. I have been told it may be the rear diff, I was wondering about the u-joint. Any ideas would be appreciated!

Have the tires balanced and rotated. Tires can make a lot of road noise at that speed especially once they have less than 50% tread left on them.

Did you or anyone else solve this issue? I've had the same problem for a while now. Tried the U-joints, but no dice. Did you get your issue fixed?

Wheel bearings?
