i have a 94 limited.. auto of course but when im gear at a light the truck has a vibration if i give it jsut a bit of gas to get the rpms up its fine...just at a low idle in gear..is this the vibration problem everyone talks about or is this something different.....thanks

You got something different.

Clean your Idle Air Control, Mass Air Sensor, run a can of SeaFoam or B12 Chem tool through a tank of gas and disconnect the battery for 5-10 minutes to reset the ECM. That should help. (do a forum search for these)

The vibration most talked about is at freeway speed. It feels like an out of balance tire and is extremely hard to get rid of.

Albino so I have that freeway speed vibration on my explorer... Any tips???

James Duff Stage One 2.5" lift :D

There have been many attempts at solving the riddle. The vibration you feel is actually a harmonic vibration in the frame. Installing a suspension lift changes some of the suspension geometry such that the root source of the vibration can no longer vibrate the frame at it's harmonic frequency.

What is the root source of the vibration??

I don't think anyone has found it yet, although Jrgaylor found the yokes on the ends of his drive shaft weren't perfectly aligned. One end was rotated about 1*-2* in relation to the other. He was going to have some work done and get them properly aligned.

I haven't heard if that fixed his vibration or not. Guess I'll have to ask him.
