Speaking of assumptions, can you provide a source that shows MFT use being datalogged in the EDR?

Yes I realize this is a necro post. lol

Are you willing to risk it?

Mass. teen sentenced to 2 years in prison and loss of license for 15 years for texting while driving that caused a fatality: http://usnews.nbcnews.com/_news/201...nced-to-prison-for-texting-while-driving?lite

Cal. woman sentenced to 5 years in jail for texting while driving that caused a fatality: http://www.sacbee.com/2012/03/13/4332366/driver-gets-5-years-in-prison.html

Do you suppose the result would be much different if you were to be found watching a movie?

Don't think that EDR is the only evidence - there are often witnesses as well.

I haven't been following the discussions on this forum but this is a product I read about somewhere. I'm not really sure if it actually works. In my opinion the website looks kind of shady. Might be worth looking at though!

They've been around quite a while. They apparently don't put much money into marketing or web design, but I believe their products work. Some have mentioned support issues in the past, but everyone I've talked to using any of their products say they've had no issue getting support.

Also there are more reasons to disable the VIM lock than just watching movies. The lockpick has a feature to unlock navi functions, etc w/out enabling the aux video source.

Who's derailing the thread? I was asked a question, I answered. Grow up.

You were asked a question and decided to answer with another question. Furthering the off topic responses in the thread. Your advice is noted though, I'll work on advancing my age as quickly as possible.

Wow. This is funny. I'm glad you self serving people don't live around me. Seriously. You think you have the right to break the law. LMAO. Common sense abounds. I feel sorry for those who have to share the road with a person who feels its their right to knowingly commit an act which endangers another's life. Oh and it's my right to speak my mind on this subject. As a matter of fact, its a moral obligation to try and stop someone from possibly harming another human being. MFT is already pushing the boundaries. Your rights don't out weigh a life. That is a stone cold fact.

Having a passenger use the navigation entry, using a third party navigation unit with the aux input if you didn't want to pay 795$ for navi, and a host of other things that bypassing provides are not illegal. Quit being righteous. Someone can mount an iPad, separate screen, etc if they really want to watch movies, locking down the features from those that may not use them illegally doesn't stop people from doing illegal/negligent things. You're all wacky and this provides nothing in regards to the thread topic. If you have nothing to provide that is on topic quit derailing the thread..

Nevermind this thread is already worthless
