Hey guys my steering seems to wander from left to right when I'm driving the road. I'll be driving straight and it will randomly start to wander to one side and I am constantly having to straighten myself back out, also when I hit the breaks it will feel like its locking up and pulling to the left but sometimes it will pull to the right!... I've had both hubs replaced and still the same problem... Just wondering what this could be I've searched the forums and found a thread about the steering rack but not sure if this is the same prob. Thanks in advance guys!

Worn front end parts also do that- they allow the wheel to move without moving the steering wheel. Some alignment shops won't do an alignment with work front end parts, because they can't guarantee the truck will run within specs.

How far can you turn your steering wheel before your truck responds?

Also, the right lane on a highway will leak right and the left lake will tend to leak left, because of the crown of the pavement.

Hey thanks for the replies
JoeDirt: I can turn it I would say about 1/8th of a rotation before it responds which I think it quite a bit...

MountaineerGreen: So did the steering rack and steering shaft fix the problem?

what would cause the brakes to pull to left when stopping? Would that be caused by the intermediate shaft as well??

Get the front end fixed first. If the truck is wondering while driving straight, hitting the brakes is going to make it even worse. Once the front end is nice and tight, see how your brakes feel. They should stop straight once the front end is set up correctly.
If they don't, then troubleshoot them.
