I noticed that the temperature gauge, which used to be almost all the way a the Cool end, is fluctuating activelt between cool and the halfway mark of the guages. It moves with some regularity.

I've replaced the thermostat and am considering replacing the Temp Sending Unit. Can anyone suggest what might be wrong?

If you live where it is cold and you put in a cool Thermostat (i.e. 165) that could cause it. The thermostat would be opening and closing. If you used a hotter one (i.e. 195) then I would say it is the sending unit, the guage, or something else electrical.

My 93 does the same thing. I have been through 3 thermostats of different brands (all 195 degree), and replaced the sending unit. I'm starting to think it's the gauge. Mine runs between the N and R in normal. All other indications, mileage, heater output, etc are fine, so I'm not too worried. But it is annoying.
