I was looking to buy new leaf packs because mine are at that point now where they seemingly don't want to be alive anymore. What exactly should I get? and also, I want to do an add a leaf if at all possible. once again, what to get?

The first question you must ask is, how do you use the truck. I.E. hauling, towing, trail riding, fast dirt roads (pre running) desert running ect. In my case, im building my ST for fast desert running, and no hauling/towing. I went with extended shackles, and currently it has a short, thick and overly stiff add a leaf, thus limiting my rear wheel travel for my needs, and the ride anywhere id too stiff. I am replacing the add a leaf with a long thin add a leaf. This allows for all avaiable wheel travel without limiting it. And with the longer add a leaf the rear suspension will work the way it should. The way it handles and rides at off road, speed or even around town for that matter is fundamentally wrong gurrently. The weight transfer is not there and thru corners it feels like its on ice.I removed the rear sway bar in hopes to help. It has, but we certainaly need to soften up the rear spring rate. Then, you should use a high quality set of shocks. Im a Bilstein guy myself. Hope that helped. Good luck!

well all in all it's my general grocery getter/total daily with trail riding on the side

Which spring packs are in there now? Do you have the 2 leafs / 3 leafs w/overload leaf, or the monoleafs?

If you already have 2/3 leaf packs, an inexpensive way of putting new lift into old springs, and lifting a sagging rear end, is to get Warrior WAR123 shackles (instead of the WAR153 shackles). They'll lift the rear 1/4 of an inch, which doesn't sound like much, but it is. You'll have to have them drilled out with a 9/16" drill bit, and get your own 14mm bolts (or use 9/16" grade 8's), but it costs less than $100 for everything and is less hassle than new springs.

If you have monoleafs, upgrading to the 2/3 leaf packs would be great.

The 2003 springs have a slightly different length according to their specs. Interesting they make a spring for spring-over-axle applications, too, and it's cheaper than the spring-under stock replacement.

well I don't have any problems with saggy rear. I have that nice ghetto lean...growing on both sides now, so I want to replace so that I don't fall out of my window at the drive through
