Hey guys I have a question for you, I've got my crunch amp powering my subs, but I have a Sony 4 channel amp that I'd like to use to power my door speakers, I've got my ground for the sony and a distribution block for my power. And I believe I should be able to jump a remote wire from my sub amp to the Sony amp, correct?

My question is, as far as running my door speakers to the amp do I splice into the wires in the door that go to the HU and leave the speakers running to the head, or cut the wires and run them directly to the amp. then take 2 sets of RCAs and run them from the front and rear out on the HU to my amp?

If so what do I do with the wires running from the HU to the doors? Just put a wire cap on them?

Also, the sony amp has a plastic clip with wires for a high frequency in should I run the speaker wire to that or just the front and rear screw like I did when I used it to power my single sub?

Thanks for the help and sorry if I sound like a moron.

Speaker wires directly from the amplifier to the door speakers, 4 channel RCA from the headunits Front/Rear(L/R) channels to the appropriate amplifier channels.

You can splice into the remote wire and split it into two if you need. I have three amps running on one. But any more amps and/or accessories, I would run a relay for sure.

I just installed 4 new speakers in my doors, powered by an amplifier, I ran new wires from the amp to the new speakers. I left the old wires attached to the headunit harness and the stock plugs intact in the doors. Don't see them being a problem dead ending like that. I could be wrong, though.

Thanks, I've got my amp ready to be mounted, RCA's ran my ground wire in place I just need to run my power and remote. Back door speakers done, took about an hour per door since I'm **** about making everything clean.

Another question, I have 10gauge wire laying around but nothing super super thin, would it be ok to use that as my remote to jump from my sub amp to my speaker amp?

how did u run it to the doors do u have any picks are tips

I ended up undoing the wiring, that sony amp after sitting in a garage for over a year sounded like complete crap, worse than the amp built in my hu. Louder but it would fade in and out and with tons of intereference I'm thinkin I may need a better alternator or battery as well as better quality wiring.

As far as running it through the doors, the back doors were super easy just time consuming. Take a flat blade screw driver and pop both the rubber tubing ends from the door and body, theres a decent sized access panel underneath the rear door speakers I used that to snake the wire from the speakers to the inside of the panel and run it until you can pull the end through where the grommit goes.

Once you get there I had a friend pull the tubing completely straight and I used my scrawny long fingers to just push the wire through. Once its completely through the tube and snaked into the cabin of the vehicle just pop the trim panels covering that hole where the wires go into the door and pull. I used a straight razor and cut a small notch in the plastic so I could run the wires down and to the center console.

I did it right next to the seats so it wouldn't be noticeable. once I got rear door speakers to the console, I took a good knife cut a small slit in the carpeting(you can barely notice unless your really staring for it, just take your time and use a good good blade) had the wire come out from underneath the rear seat and from there it was just matching.

The front door speakers are alot harder, and the LF speaker you will have to have some exposed as there is a pin connection(in the black plastic box before the tube, it controls everything electric windows, locks etc.) theres a hole for some reason about 3in above that that leads into the door, I used that, then got below the pin connection and ran the rest through the tubing, tucked the wires under the dash and down the console(16g wire fits nice and snug in the gap between the floor and console)

As for the RF its almost a necessity to have an extra set of hands to pull that tubing out and snake the wire though.

If I had taken some pics for your help I'd post em but I half assed it to an extent and used sub standard wire so it was complete crap.

If you have any other questions post here or shoot me a PM and I'll be more detailed. Its not hard at all, just time consuming took me about 2 evenings to get everything set and goin, only to be undone due to crap wiring :(

i did the backs it was a pain but i even tucked my wires under the carpet never remove the front seat it was a pain in the ass to put it back in took an hour to get back in still not in all the way

Yea, I had to pull my front drivers seat to fix the recliner lever, one stripped torx screw and a drill and 3 hours later I finally got it out. It was terrible, I was kinda handicapped by the fact that my power wire runs down the trim pieces so I wanted to keep speaker wire away from it.

i actually pulled driver and both back seats out so i could put my 0awg in the middle of the carpet back seats go in with a litlle hitting with a hammer

confused

so im running 3 amps 1 for subs 1 for back door speackers and one for a twetter

so my subs work fine i have the rca out to the twetter amp and the amps working my twetter isnt

my back speackers are sodered in so they cant get lose but they are playing in and not playing when they feel like it any ideas

sorry about spelling i know i cant spell.

Check grounds, do you have crossovers for the tweeters? How many preouts do you have on the HU, you'll need one for subs one for rear speakers and one for tweeters, are your front door speakers amped or no?

3 preouts on on hu
fronts are not amped soon they will be
i think i might have a cross over for the tweeter no base can go though it

So neither of the speakers tweeter or rear doors are working? The amp is powering on? Make sure its not going into protect mode, I'm presuming you have the rear doors using the rear output on the HU and the SW out for the sub. Check and make sure, I've switched rear and SW on accident before and the subs will still work but the rear or tweeter will try and play bass notes but with a high pass on won't do it.

If thats good make sure the rear setting is set to full range and not subwoofer(I'm not sure if its just a pioneer HU setting but worth a check)

If none of those do it try new RCA's you can even pull the sw rcas on either end and switch if the amps are close.
