Hi all. Newbie here. Just got my invoice, created window sticker and the date on the top Is "120140904". So does the "1" mean built? Wonder how to track delivery to SC? Does it really take 1 month? Dealer has been saying eta is 1st week of October.
XLT in Magnetic, option group 202a, black leather inside.
Many thanks for all the helpful advice on the forum.

Tom56, the "1"does not mean built but means to be built. the build date is 09-04-2014 from the remaining numbers. It should arrive at SC in about 3-4 weeks from build date. Your dealer can track it once its built to SC. He will get status reports as they happen of built, released, then daily locations of railroad locations and then when it arrives at the dealer. Getting it released at the factory depends on how long before the next railroad car is loaded for cars going to SC. Mine took 3 weeks to get released from the build date and then came from Chicago to Denver in 4 days by Rail and one day to unload and the dealer picked it up at the rail yard unloading facility to save time since it was a special order. Send a PM to Crystal at Ford Service here on the site and she can give you a ETA date for arrival at the dealer. The dealer can give you more tracking info once the vehicle is released at the plant.
Hey Binaryman3,
Thank you. This helps a great deal. I will give it a couple days before I contact Crystal. My buggy is probably just collecting some Illinois dust for awhile.
Now if I can figure out the proper structure to move my mp3 music onto an SD card. Will search more on other threads.
This is a great resource for us Ex people. It is nice to read about all the excited posts of new cars coming.
Any idea how long before the build date they issue the sticker? I ordered on OCT 1, and got a build date of the week of the 27th. I have a VIN number but when I put it in, the page said "Not in the System" They must issue the sticker just before the build??

WOOOO HOOOO, got my window sticker today! Everything as we ordered! Thanks very much for all your help on this, Crystal. One question though: The 401a package says it includes both heated and cooled front seats in the website build. I don't see heated/cooled seats on the sticker under the 401a, but I'm assuming it is standard with that package? Hope so... South Louisiana

I checked this out and Equipment Group 401A does have heated/cooled front seats listed. If you're still concerned, you can always reach out to your sales rep so they can confirm all the specifics of your build.
