Wanting some new parts

Hello. I am new to this forum and really think that i will get the knowledge and outlook that i've been looking for. I have a 1996 Eplorer XLT. I live about ten minutes away from a beach that youre able to drive on. Due to other 4x4's sometimes there are huge ruts that appear to big for my explorer to handle. I'm in school and can't afford to get another ford but would love to fix whats going wrong with mine and add some extras. I would like to lift it and put different wheels and tires on it. I would also like some water proofing done if anything is possible(snurquel). Every time it rains down here and i take my truck out wanting to get dirty i end up fouling out my plugs and having to replace them and my spark plug wires. Any advice and insight would be much appreciated...
