I have at least 1 warped rotor and I suspect 2. The front. They are just barely above minimum thickness specs. Should I replace em, or throw em on the lathe?

replace,
don't take chances,, if they are just near minimum a lathe will make them too thin,,

...and for how cheap rotors are now-a-days, I never turn them anymore.

I think the minimum thickness is .24mm or something like that and they're barely at .25 I was thinking of replacing them, just want a few other opinions. $100 bucks a rotor isn't too bad. Just don't get the $40 chinese pieces of s**t.
EDIT: The dealer turned the rotors and I think they were too far gone in the first place. I think at least 2 new ones maybe 4 will be the best.

I've never liked the idea of turning a warped rotor, it will usually be warped again pretty quickly. Also where are you seeing $100 rotors, oreilly's shows the wagner rotors for around $50 each.

Agreed. These things warped in 2 weeks but I do alot of mountain driving.
and the $100 price is from:
fordparts.com pricing directly from ford.

I would like to eventually upgrade to drilled and slotted rotors and some higher performance brake pads. These stock rotors seem to warp fairly easy.

Thanks for the info! I learned something new today

I agree with going for just the slotted rotors, i just repolaced all four corners on my 03 V8 Ex and it has made a great difference , plus they look cool lol :)

Those do look nice. I will eventually go for the slotted rotors and some better pads, its rediculous on how soft the brakes are.

Dude i hope those are not your only jacks under there? is it?

Always put your tires that are removed under a car on jacks If the car comes crashing down the tires will at least help protect you. And I agree I wouldn't dare touch that X with those jacks under there.

she was as sturdy as she could be , trust me i wouldnt work on a vehicle that i didnt think was safe either. it may have only been on those stands but i couldnt push it off em , and i tried before i even ook the wheels off. theyre actually rated to hold up a truck , so a 4x4 is nothing for em
