Guys.
I have had my new V8 Limited explorer for over 1 year now and seem to getting more and more hassles with this car. This is my second explorer as had a 99 XLT V6 which had no problems at all.I would like to hear from anyone who has had these problems and had them fixed if they actually fixed them or just patched the problems.Items are listed below.
Paint peeling off around the chrome roof rack mounts.[Has to be repainted]
Air conditioning compressor kicked the bucket this week.[New compressor ordered under warranty]
Automatic Transmission shifting all over the place/Delayed selection of reverse.[New complete Valve body with solonoids ordered.
Rear diff whine at 110kmh.[They say acceptable?]
Lumbar support not working.New lumbar support ordered]
Rear window regulater broken[New one ordered.]
After reading all the forum topics it seems everybody is having the same issues or will have if you have not had it already.Might be time to say goodbye to this truck I think.

Very Sad. I have owned many many Fords but this is my first Explorer. I am looking at the ESP extended warranty to 100,000 miles myself as I travel alot! Hopefully you can get your issues corrected with many happy days ahead

I don't know what to say.. Never had a ford that new that gave me problems. I hope all this is fixed under warranty Including the paint Job. It should be. Go by your owners manual using all possible processes ..under Warranty claims.

It's no wonder Ford is staring down bankruptcy.

That's a lot of problems for one truck, it sounds like you have possibly gotten a bad one. The ford dealers are usually easy to work with i'm sure they'll be able to help you out.
