I hear a lot of people talk about taking the truck in for warrenty claim on high mileage vehicles. I thought that the warrenty only covered the original owner and after that it is what ever you bought it with.

Am I correct or does the warrenty cover the vehicle, not the original owner? Or does it depend on the problem?

You can buy extended warranties from ford for 24k, 2 yrs for like 800 bucks like i did on any mileage vehicle it think. But i think its gotta be under 100k when you buy the plan because ones over 100k are just too costly for ford

Also for a few items such as the 00M12 Program, Ford extends the warranty to a certain mileage on a specific part.

Ford warrants the vehicle either through the original warranty or through extended warranties that get issued through Owner Notification Programs. Recalls also apply to the vehicle. In other words any warranty that you didn't have to pay for covers the vehicle. Extended warranties that you purchase typically only cover the original buyer. Most can be transfered over when someone else purchases the vehicle for a fee though.

Thanks Robert. I guess I knew that but wanted to make sure.

Is there a place to find out about recalls, campaigns, etc.? Just wanna make sure I can have them do everythign they can to save me a couple $.

Warrenty

Is there a place to find out what kind of warrenty I might have. I bought the vehical from a dealship but I am not the original owner. I did not know if I should go back to the dealership or if I could find out if the vehcial is still warrentied.

Your truck has the 3yr/36000 mile warranty on it. The 3 years starts from the original date of purchase (when new), but usually the mileage is the limiting factor.
