I got 4 MTX 6000 10" subs for $93 shipped.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3079452970&ssPageName=ADME:B:EOAB:US:6

At first I thought it was a steal, but then I wondered why it went for such a low price. I was thinking it was because people would see that it was for four, which is probably more then more people want. They are selling single ones for ~$50. Winning this commits me to putting 6 10" subs in my back (construction begins in 2 weeks!!!). I chose the MTX subs because I already have 3 back there now and I wanted them to match.

Anyways, lemme know what you think.

why not eight??:D

i have one, that i would sell ya, not sure if it works or not tho, you would have to plug it in and try it tho. I got it from a friend that used to run it. He said it worked, but i dont really trust him. ill sell it to you for 20$ :D

PEACE

good deal!...... Got enough power?

you should get another six and build a wall.

I'll have 2 4gauge wires running back there.. and 2 760w amps. (380 rms). I have the 3 subs and 1 amp setup now and it hits pretty hard. I think I'll probably have to add another battery back there, because with just 3 subs going, I get dimming at idle. I hope I have enough power... lets just say that, because upgrading alternator isn't a $$$ possibility at the moment.

As for the wall... I like to be able to see out my rear =P Right now I'm toying with box ideas... (which is why I started the "show off your custom box!!!!" thread)

naw..im happy with my paint...but back to the sub's..why?..lol:)

again..i wish you all the luck

The money you saved on speakers is gonna have to go for AAL's. Because with all that weight your gonna have some butt sag.

Ive had 1 MTX 10" sub for over 5 years and it still hits as hard as the day I got it. People always ask if it is 2 10's or a 12". Its been a great sub for me.

It's actually kinda sad why I decided to do this... I kept watching Typhoon's worklog and I got the itch to make my own box. Mine wont be nearly as good looking or anything near his... but I wanted to make a box, so I decided I needed a reason to make the new box =P

They're at a discount because they're factory reconditioned, meaning that they were used, abused, or defective and had to be taken back for some fixing. It's luck of the draw with that type of equipment. Sometimes you get a bargain, hopefully, this will be one of those times you get the deal.

Hmmmm.... I'm smelling a trip to Boomins house for the fiberglass part. I love workign with fiberglass I just dont like sanding.

BTW I'll have a pic of my custom fiberglass box up when im done... It consists of 2 12's, amprack and hidden area for (2) 24' packs of "beverages" (Underage so I have to hide that stuff if I get a blue light special)

I dunno if I'm going to need glass work... I'm drawing something up tomorrow that will show what I plan on doing - then we can see how we can spruce it up. I got f(*#&ed outta my 2nd amp on eBay!!!!! someone who just made their account today jacked up the price of a DEAD amp to almost near what WORKING amps were going for... ARG!!!!

man- this will be sweet, but you got to give them way more power. screw those amps and step up a litltle more.
