i was kinda hoping i could get some help. i have a 1984 ranger 4x4 2.8l v6, and was wondering if there was anyway i could drop a 4.0 in it. and what kinda things would be involved in doing so. i've heard i would have to get it re-classified with the 4.0

Welcome to this forum! A quick search will show many engine swaps. Some people even have Mercedes diesel engines, and GM transmissions!
