I have an 01 Ford Explorer. The front windshield washer fluid is not working while the back does still work. Could this be a relay? If so where is the relay located? Thanks!

Also... it doesn't even make a noise like it wants to work in the front like when you use the back...

Could be the relay, could be the switch.
Relay is located down by the coolant overflow bottle, twards the front, you'll see a black box. Relays are in there. Just fixed mine the other day, both stopped working. All I did was clean up the connections on the relays and both washers started working again.

i thought my 95's was messed up, cus when I would press the thing in to squirt and wipe, it would wipe, and not squirt...come to find out it was a bad "multifunction switch" if i wiggle it when I press it, it works

The multifunction switch always breaks, it's likely that. However, it is a good idea to at least swap relays and see if that's the culprit before spending any money.

The relay is located in the Auxiliary Relay box, close to underneath the air intake. Looks to be near the same as in the 99s.

I'm having a similar problem, except that I'm not getting any fluid from either of the front two nozzles nor the rear one. I can hear the pump running when I push either button (front or rear washer) and the wipers run as they should.

I doubt all three nozels are clogged, but I just bought the thing so it's a possiblity. I'll try cleaning them out.

hey does anyone know where the relay is on a 95 xlt maybe a link to a diagram or some pictures would be really helpful
thanks danny

Just to throw something out there have you checked that the motor is still working? I personally think if the wipers are working then it not very likely that its a relay.

I was having the same problem. I was thinking it was the motor as well. Bought one but still havent installed it yet. It mysteriously started working again... Will be interested to hear the fix for your problem. Motor was pretty cheap and seemed easy to replace (which is why I was going for that first).
