Water Pump Leaking, again...

I crawled under the truck today, as I was looking around, I found coolant dripping off the front cross member. I had my water pump replaced in June, 9 months ago at the Ford house. So, tomorrow I guess I will have to try and get Ford to replace it again. I am sure it is the gasket, but I wasn't able to see the weep hole to see if it was wet. Does anybody know what the warranty on parts and labor is? What if I had it done at a dealership in Texas, now I am in Florida? I would do it myself, if I hadn't paid to have it done once already, and paid out the a$$ at that.

Has anybody else had problems with their water pumps?

I'm not sure about Ford Dealerships, but most auto repair shops have a 90 day labor warranty and the part warranty is whatever the manufacturer offered.

i believe Ford is 12mos/12,000 miles for oem shop repairs.

I think rossneag is right (but I thought it was 6mo/6Kmi).. and if you had it done at a Ford dealer, then you should be able to go to any Ford dealer and have it fixed (if that is the prob) at any dealer in the US...

Most Ford dealer's take pride in fixing another Ford dealer's F'up....

Yeah it is 12 mos. 12,000 miles on parts and labor. It has been 9 mos. and 12,600 miles though, so they told me I am at square one all over again. I am trying to find the leak myself. I can't see the weep hole, so I don't know if it a seal, the pump or a hose. I am hoping it is a seal or a hose and I can do it myself.

Check your radiator. They go around 100k and will spray hoses and water pump as you drive so it's hard to tell where it's coming from. rc
