Water pump replacement... Do those bolts really snap and how difficult are they?

I found a snapped bolt on my 96 that the previous owner had graciously left me to deal with, I got a stud puller and miraculously it got the stud out, I didn't think I had a chance.

Thanks, that’s good to know. Hoping I never have to do the water pump again. We hellicoiled mine when it happened. That tool would have saved the knuckle!
