Water pump seal or weep hole location?? ( HELP)

I have A pretty bad leak comeing from the front of my engine ( v8)
I replaced the water pump about A year ago from bad bearings and now it seems like the water pump is where my new leak is comeing from.
I can see from the bottom it looks like fluid is coming from A thumb size hole at the bottom and I was wondering if this is the weep hole??

the weep hole is like a 1/4"
was there a cap where the thumb size hole is?

Does anyone have a step by step with pics on how to replace the water pump on a 1997 explorer 5.0
