i know theres been some mention of this here and there, but i wanna get some straight opinions from people about waxing in the winter time. should it be done? do you do it? etc.

i have waxed my truck in the winter before, but i dont know if ill keep doing it; its just too much of a hassle in anywhere from 0-40 degrees, even in the garage.

(by the way, i should mention that i use zaino, and ive already read all that crap on the webpage.)

(just another i wanna ask about, which i dont think is worth starting a new thread for is this: i got a lil white overspray on my gray fender flares, when they fixed my truck in october - will this be ok to leave until the spring, when i can clay bar and wax?)

thanks.

Well...the most ideal temp for waxing is above at least 50 degrees but I guess the cure time will be lengthen if you wax below that.

As for your overspray. Get a clay bar. It helps to get rid of overspray. Instead of doing it next spring, why don't you do it right before you wax your truck. It's better and it won't irritate you until next spring.

i have a clay bar - ive been using them for years. i plan on doing it right before i wax, but i dont wanna wax my truck until the spring :p it shouldnt hurt anything if i leave the overspray on there for a few months, right?

Oh, if that's the case, it's fine leaving the way it is.

cool. thanks. if im gonna work on the X in the freezing cold, id rather spend that time on the interior and mechanical issues.
