Weekend ends badly...

So out for a nice weekend with the family it ended in a very unexpected and yet crappy way... Driving across in front of the grocery store we hit a speed bump....unexpected loud thump....and it turns out we broke a coil spring... Back passenger one is now sitting all the way down to the bottom of the strut and is nicely snapped in 2...

But thank god for rock auto who had a pair of quick struts for the rear at a quite nice $272 shipped to my front door beating the local price of $363 for the pair.

Better have it happen at low speed than at highway speeds and have fly apart and blow a tire out, that would have been a much worse ending.

What is a quick strut?

Quick struts are the entire spring and strut assembly. It's just a whole switch out vs. individual suspension parts.

Both of mine broke but not that bad. Just kinda set down is all it didn't mess up the strut.
