This has happened twice now. Get in my car start it up and my HU is set back to defaults as if I disconnected the battery which I didn't. So I have to reset the time and presets. I don't think it's the HU itself because I have two hooked up and they both do it. Has this happened to anyone before?

maybe one of the connections on your battery worked it's way loose? So it's touching but maybe, might disconnect once in awhile? or sumthin like that lol Check the battery connections.

I doubt it's his battery connect, cause he would have problems and I mean horrible problems if he was driving and his battery was connecting, disconnecting -- woo, I actually don't even want to think about it. Anyway, check all your fuses and pull out the radios and look behind them to see anything obvious.

On my wife's Lexus, this is the early warning signal for a week or failing battery... How old is you battery...may be time to replace it.

As suggested, look at your battery and associated connections.... not necessarily for looseness but for buildup of "junk" / corrosion. I had a similar problem with a unit in a car. Left the car sitting for a while (one or two weeks), and the radio would have a "reset". Ah... thinking, battery must be dead (winter time). Nope, even though things like courtesy lights and key warning systems would not work up entering the vehicle. It would crank fine. My take was that there was enough "junk" on the connection to cause the small "trickle" current for the radio (and other things) not to function (ie. too much resistance). However, when the "big draw" of starting happened, it "burnt" its way thru and things were fine until the next "long wait" time.

It's only a year old and is very strong.

I should have added this the first time. The two resets happened a month or two apart from each other.
