Welcome back, me!

I had to let my '93 explorer sport go when I started A&P school in 2012 because it was becoming a maintenance pig, and the MPG was awful. I bought a beater Civic for gas savings, sold it after school, had kids, moved, changed jobs, etc etc etc.. I've been whipping a 1971 VW bus into shape for two years now, and we finally needed a decent SUV daily driver for me.

This is a '99 Explorer Sport, looks like an entry level base model. It was built in the Louisville, KY plant with a production date of 11/1998. 5R55E 5-speed automatic, 4.0L OHV, light graphite interior. It's in very good shape for 190K miles, but does have some engine issues I'm hoping to take care of pretty quickly.. looks like a vacuum leak, and a hard cylinder 4 misfire.

Welcome back sir. What are your plans for your EX? Looks good.

Nothing really, just back to stock with all the trim upgrades I can fit in! Just looking for junkyard parts to add cruise control, tilt column, OE fogs, backup sensors, full length floor console and message centers, etc.

I just finished everything but the resistance wire on my smoke machine, to find the vacuum leaks.. replaced the #4 plug last night after I found a cracked insulator on the old one. The coolant was 1-1/2 gallons low, too, so I'll take those together to mean I should expect to replace both heads in the somewhat near future.
So how does this forum work, do I start a 'build' thread for my truck or what?
