Some good info you wrote, i had not thought about the lemon law.. Still waiting to hear from them.

Your welcome! I learned how the Lemon Laws work the hard way. Like I wrote about in one of my earlier posts to you, I had to deal with a scum bag car salesman(John) that sold me my Explorer. This guy had a habit of hanging the phone up on me after I tried to get information out of him on when they(his boss) were going pay for the rebuilt transmission my Ex needed, so I could get my truck back on the road. I couldn't get a straight answer out of them. My Ex was in the tranny shop for 10 days for the first tranny job because of them. So after John hung up on me, I borrowed a friends car and drove up to the dealership and got personal with him, right in his face! I told him if he ever hung the phone up on me again, I was going to punch him in the face and knock out some of his teeth. I said to him, you took my 13K (vehicle price, tax, 3yr extended warranty total) for this truck and sold me a vehicle with a bad transmission after he promised me prior to the sale, that he would never sell me or anyone else a damaged vehicle. This guy professed how honest he was. He had nothing to say to me after I confronted him, his eyes got big and just had a stupid, scared look on his face. Nothing pisses me off more than getting ripped off. This dealership has their own repair shop and they did the state inspection on it( or just slapped an inspection sticker on it without really inspecting it), so they (their mechanics) had to have known that the transmission was bad prior to selling it to me and they still sold it to me with a knowingly bad tranny. This salesman (John) was also a smart a$$ and treated this situation like it was a joke, which just pissed me off further, but he practically $hit his pants when I showed up at the dealership that day he hung up on me. I told him I'm done f'ing around with them, that I was going to sue them under the lemon law. I also told him I was going to run him out of business by spreading the word around town on them and how they treat their customers and the damaged vehicles they are selling. Shortly after that I spoke to his boss and they paid for the rebuilt transmission. I bought this truck at a dealership I purchased another truck from back in 2005 and had no problems with them at all, but what I didn't know is, the original owners of this dealership were no longer running this dealership, just that they still own the lot and business name, and this other guy named 'Steve-the boss" , was leasing the lot and business name from the owners I previously dealt with. Steve was selling cars under the old dealerships business name and paying them rent. I found this out after I bought the Explorer from them. I thought I was buying from the original owner of the business, which has been there over 20 years and has a good name around town. These new guys Steve and John, use to sell cars on the north side of Buffalo and must have been run out of that side of the city for the way they swindle people out of their money with their shady car sales techniques. That explains why they are on the total opposite side of the city now, where no one knows them, selling cars under another dealerships business name and lot.
Don't necessarily handle your problem with the dealership you bought your Ex from the way I did with mine, but don't let them drag it out for weeks either. Read up on your lemon law for your state and keep calling them on the phone and get answers from them. Maybe question them about the lemon law warranty and see what they say. Good luck!
