Do you guys pull the Battery cables before welding or not?

I am playing with Tow hooks on the front of my '91 X and I was just wondering what your thoughts are.

do I or are you supposed to?

Yes you should you can fry the computer.

Yes, yes and YES.

By doing that you isolate the electrinics.

It takes just a few seconds and there is no reason not to.

Bolt the hooks - unless you are a certified welder.

You have no way of testing the weld- bolting will be much more reliable.

The frame is hardened, and even a certified welder will not be able to give you a weld that will not break. I am a certified mig-tig welder, I would bolt the hooks on. Gary
