But I didn't go the stock route. I was sick of messing around with the stock 6 disc Audiopile 'O Crap and since I had a $900 HU laying on my office floor, I got it in.
Some pics that might help people with the 03-04s.
I finally figured out how to get this damn bezel off. I was almost positive this thing was gonna break a few time while I was figuring how it was fastened on the dash. Its just a few of those pressure clips. 2 on the bottom, 2 on the top and 1 on each side. I used a butter knife to pry the thing off.
Here is the Pioneer HU finally mounted and wired in. I only used one of the 3 wiring harnesses that are on the stock deck. I am guessing one is for the factory sub (which sucks anyway), and the other is for the power antenna (which I dont have).
Here is how I am gonna use my iPod for now. I just have the Belkin cupholder mount from my Jimmy. Worked good in my Jimmy, and I didn't feel like purchasing anything else for the moment.
The whole project took just under 2 hours. I wasn't going to do much stereo work on this truck, but I will probably be putting a JL Audio 12w6 sub in since I have 2 of those laying around.
